Sen. Kamala Harris drops out of the presidential race amid reports of campaign turmoil.
Harris has reportedly told staffers and is expected to release a video shortly.
Harris tweeted: “To my supporters, it is with deep regret—but also with deep gratitude—that I am suspending my campaign today.”
“But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.”
“I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.”

Reaction on Twitter:
Kamala Harris dropped out of the 2020 race before Tom "Who?" Steyer, John "Who?" Delaney and Michael "Why?" Bloomberg. That is…. telling.

The fact that @SenGillibrand and @KamalaHarris both dropped out of the race before the billionaire white guys who bought their way in and are funding their continued stay tells you every damn thing you need to know about our fucked up political system.

Interesting times. Kudos to @KamalaHarris for being the third Black woman to run for President. The field is now older and whiter. Interesting times indeed.

If this news I’m hearing about @KamalaHarris dropping out of the presidential race is true that is a damn shame.
NO votes have been cast in the democratic primaries.
Not ONE vote.
But pollsters and pundits said her campaign was doomed so…
I hate this. Truly.
